Doreen Horan is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 23 years of private practice experience working with adults, adolescents, children, and families. Her therapeutic approach draws from a rich array of creative and experiential modalities, including Guided Imagery to Music, art, mandalas, dreamwork, nature-based therapy, and play therapy, all grounded in Mindfulness, Adlerian, Jungian, Psychodynamic, and Existential frameworks.
Doreen has directed therapeutic camps, facilitates groups, and serves as a certified clinical supervisor. She created Camp Me Too, a therapeutic camp experience, and collaborated on the Courage Stones grief book, reflecting her deep commitment to supporting individuals and communities through loss and transition. She earned her MS from Loyola University Maryland and her BS from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania.
Doreen believes that healing happens through creative expression, connection with nature, and the courageous exploration of one’s inner world. Whether working with a child through play therapy or guiding an adult through imagery and music, she creates a safe and nurturing space where transformation can unfold at each person’s own pace.
