Dr. Elizabeth Piazza-Bonin is a clinical psychologist who earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Memphis. She completed her predoctoral internship at the Denver VA Medical Center in 2015, followed by a trauma-focused post-doctoral fellowship at the Denver VA in 2016, giving her extensive experience working with individuals navigating complex trauma and PTSD.
Dr. Piazza-Bonin draws from a wide range of evidence-based approaches, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Prolonged Exposure therapy. She has pursued advanced training in psychedelic-assisted therapy through CIIS, MAPS, PRATI, and Fluence, and has served as an adherence rater for the MAPS MDMA clinical trials. She is currently training toward her psilocybin facilitator license.
Dr. Piazza-Bonin believes that effective trauma treatment requires meeting each patient where they are and offering a thoughtfully integrated combination of therapeutic tools. Her deep grounding in evidence-based trauma therapies, combined with her growing expertise in ketamine therapy and psychedelic medicine, allows her to offer patients a comprehensive path toward healing that honors both the science and the humanity of the therapeutic process.
